Lynd Ward (b.1905-1985) is a famous engraver and book illustrator. He produced the first woodcut novels in the United States and is a widely exhibited printmaker with numerous awards to his credit. Sadly, this print was one of his few last and was not signed before he passed away. He is well remembered.
