About Us

This website was created solely for the purpose of promoting the "hand Pulled" Method of printmaking. In this modern age of digital reproductions, such as giclees, old world style printmakers are finding it harder to get their work out in the public eye.

Now, when we say "hand pulled" prints, we are refering to a few methods.
The prints can be run through a press, such as when you make etchings.
They can be hand rubbed using a baren, spoon, doorknob, or rolling pin.

Personally, I think any method or matrix used to derive the print other than digital machines is acceptable. I believe you can use computers in the planning and design stages, but the final piece of artwork should be made with your very own "elbow grease."

We are not like other galleries that take 40% or 50% commission on sold items. What we do is ask that the printmaker price their artwork affordably and just add 20% to 25% to their asking price. They get what they want and we get a little to maintain the website and gallery promotions. The more affordable the printmaker makes their work, potentially, the faster it may sell.
Remember friends - "It is easy to sell a million pieces of artwork for one dollar than to sell one piece of artwork for a million dollars."

We hope that as printmakers, you will have a great time working with us and as potential clients, you will have a great time purchasing from us and supporting those very hard working printmakers.

All the best,

Robert Viana - Director
